PICTURED: MT. Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. Well hello! I hope that everyone is doing well. I realize that it has been a while since my last post. It is a cardinal sin in the world of blogging to “stop writing”. In fact, most of the gurus out there recommend posting at least 4 times per week. For me, the last month of my life has been a refreshing, relaxing, energizing period where I have had time to reflect on everything that has been going on for the last year. I decided to take a short break from blogging but now feel ready to get the ball rolling again.
Happy Anniversary: January 9th was the one year anniversary of my life on the road, a very important day to me. It has now been well over a year since I have worked a “real job”. This thought brings a great, big, huge smile to my face.
Africa Update: I had a ticket to Cairo that was supposed to leave 7 days from now. I do not anymore. It does not look as if I will be able to put the Cairo to Capetown plan into action at this time. While I will be traveling to Africa in the near future, the big trip has been put on hold while I work through some exciting new opportunities here in the states.
Business Update: I am very happy to inform everyone that it looks as if my dream- to travel the world indefinitely- is becoming a reality. I am entering in a partnership to create a real life
“web tv” program revolving around my world travels. I have an idea, an angle of sorts. I cannot throw it out there in its entirety but I am in love with the direction that this thing is heading.
The next few weeks-
1. I need to plan the climbing of Mt. Kilimanjaro. My friend Mark and I are going to climb the largest free standing mountain in the world for our joint 30th birthdays in March.
2. Create a production company. I think I am going to call it DFDE. This will be the official business arm of my future operations.
3. Move to New York City. It has always been a dream of mine to live in New York. That dream is becoming a reality. I am planning to set up shop in NYC and making it my US hub for the foreseeable future.
Flexibility has been a key factor in my life in the last year. The direction of my life is demanding more and more flexibility. I do not know when I am leaving for my next big trip. As soon as I know, you will know.
I realize that you may have a few questions about what the hell is going on in my life right now. I cannot really reveal anymore. I can say this though, it is all extremely positive.
Peace out my friends. I am getting close to releasing the “Cross Country TV” episodes. Look out for some more content in the upcoming weeks.
Thanks so much for reading.
